Last Updated: Mar 28, 2017 01:19PM PDT

These instructions apply to instructors only.

If you don’t see your courses for next quarter in Canvas, answer these questions:

Are you Canvas Certified?

  • YES: Move on to the next question.
  • NO: Register for Introduction to Canvas here. This training is required for anyone who wants to use Canvas for teaching.
  • NOT SURE: Check your certification status here.

Did you check your All Courses list in Canvas?

Are you the instructor of record listed in the class schedule?

Is your course designated as online or hybrid in the course schedule?

  • YES: Contact eLearning. Include your name, course name and course item number.
  • NO: Move on to the next question.
  • NOT SURE: Check the listing for your course in the class schedule. If it has a box with an HY or an eL in it, it’s hybrid or online.

Have you requested that your division scheduler add the web enhanced code to your course?

  • YES: Contact eLearning. Include your name, course name and course item number.
  • NO: Only online and hybrid courses have shells created for them automatically. Ask your division scheduler to add the 9A distance learning code to your course in SMS. If you aren’t sure who builds your schedule, check with your division or program administrative staff.
